W005 → Nightshift

The way we were partying was a juvenile act of rebellion against an austere world that didn't like us. We didn't want to fit in, neither the worries nor the anxieties that come with the adulting. Life was as scary as death, I just wanted my brain off. And in the dark, time doesn't exist anymore, the barriers melt and we can finally be whoever we want. We dance, we kiss and we laugh together. Everybody's kind of nobody during the night, we get along because we all feel weird.

A series originally selected for an open call organized by Recyclart and the Flemish Community Commission. It won the second prize and was displayed in 2019 at the Galeries Ravenstein in Brussels.
